Microsoft Corp has joined forces with Digital Equipment Corp and Hewlett-Packard Co in a new Windows NT support service called Microsoft Authorized Support, aimed at mid-sized enterprise companies. Customers can receive support from DEC or HP on up to 75 support incidents per year, covering Microsoft and selected multi-vendor products 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Prices start from $30,000 with US support available immediately, and European support early in 1998.
