As part of this alliance, MATERNA, which is the first mobile software and service provider to offer a totally integrated Windows 2000-based WAP Server solution, intends to offer customers a mobile add-on solution to Mobile Information Server, which is due in the first half of this year.

Our relationship with MATERNA is part of a shared vision to provide the core mobility infrastructure for enabling enterprise customers to gain access to corporate data from any device, said Paul Gross, senior vice president of the Mobility group at Microsoft. Given MATERNA’s proven expertise and technology depth in the mobility space, we are very excited to be working with them to make that vision a reality for customers.
