Microsoft Corp has entered into a licensing pact with China’s leading personal computer maker Legend Group, according to a report by Reuters.Under the agreement, Legend will pre-install the Chinese version of Windows 95 in its PCs. Chinese officials are pointing to the agreement as proof of their good intentions to stamp out piracy and protect intellectual property rights. If Legend meets its sales goals, the deal could be worth about $12m to Microsoft over two years.
