Microsoft Corp and Aladdin Systems Inc are joining forces to provide Java compression technology for the Macintosh. Aladdin has incorporated Microsoft’s CAB compression format, which increases the speed of information being downloaded from the internet, with its own compression and translation suite – this will be incorporated into the Macintosh version of Internet Explorer.
