Microsoft, as a part of its Windows Insider beta testing programme has released the first update to Windows 10 Technical Preview.
The update includes new features like action centre, which is considered to be a hub for commonly used applications.
It also includes Notification Center, which provides users with a list of notifications about the changes to the OS and apps.
The new features are already present in the Windows 8.1 OS for phones that will be coming to Windows 10.
The new Technical Preview offers support for some new animations which will enable users to switch between virtual desktops, as Brad Sams at Neowin recently detailed.
The update also includes virtual desktops, new Start Menu, and the ability to run Metro-Style/Windows Store apps.
The company made the Windows 10 Technical preview available back in October for testers.
With the latest update Microsoft is allowing testers to set the speed at which they can receive updates, and users will be able to opt for fast or slow updates by using a dropdown box in PC Settings.
