Microsoft has released its note-taking iPhone app OneNote Mobile from the iTunes App Store.
Product management group corporate vice-president Takeshi Numoto described the app as a digital notebook that lets users put everything they need to remember in one electronic place which can accessed easily anywhere, anytime.
The app, available for free for a limited period, can also capture handwriting, audio recordings and video clips, Numoto said on the Microsoft Office Blog.
In the app, notes are automatically backed up and synced with free Windows Live SkyDrive online storage, so that the user can access them from their PC, phone, and browser.
In a ‘first look’ piece on the Microsoft Office Blog, blogger Michael C Oldenburg described the app as an ideal way to collecting ideas and tracking project notes, capturing ad hoc information about stuff one needs to deal with at home or at work.
It also the users in tracking activities, wish lists and gift lists, he added.
