Microsoft has rolled out a new Friends app for the upcoming Xbox One, coming with a Twitter-style feed of friends’ activities.

The app, scheduled for launch on 22 November, automatically adds users’ existing Xbox 360 friends to their friends list and allows them to connect with new people by following them.

Other features allow users to find out about the Xbox One and Xbox 360 friends, the latest games and activities by using the Activity Feed.

Users can also share the latest games and entertainment with other gamers, friends and family, as well as celebrities and gaming personalities.

Microsoft said the console’s one-way follow model would facilitate Xbox Live members to connect with the people they bear in mind more easily than before.

The US-based software major is also renewing its Achievement system, which rewards players with points as per specific in-game activities2.

Microsoft has also launched titles of 23 games that will be offered for the Xbox One during its launch, which include action game Ryse: Son of Rome, zombie adventure Dead Rising 3 and brawler Killer Instinct.
