San Rafael-based MicroPro International Corp has announced WordStar Classic Release 5, a 300-feature update of its WordStar word processing program for MS-DOS micros: key new feature is the Advanced Page Preview interface which enables users to inspect and edit up to 144 pages on screen by displaying font styles and sizes exactly as they will appear when printed; other features include advanced footnoting, automatic reformatting, macros, undo, automatic save, windows for editing two documents at once, and a speller and thesaurus complete with definitions; WordStar Classic Release 5 will be available in mid-May at $495 and current registered owners can update for $89 until May 1, $119 thereafter.
