Micronyx Inc, based in Richardson, Texas has launched a conversion service to enable makers of AT and VMEbus boards to upgrade their products to Extended Industry Standard Architecture bus specifications. TIS Ltd, newly aggressive since its integration into the Misys Plc organisation back in May, has signed four Altos Computer dealers who will add the MIPS Computer Systems range of RISC-based machines to their ranges: the four, Mytec Ltd of Birmingham, Systems Research Ltd of Manchester, London-based Whiterakes Ltd and Hemtech Ltd of Croydon in Surrey are likely to be joined by a further half dozen contracts currently under negotiation, and TIS says it has also won a number of contracts to provide computer maintenance to big Altos sites.
