Fremont, California-based Micronics Computers Inc has announced the first of a series of system boards based on the 80486SX: sampling now, the 20MHz 486 SX ISA is a baby AT-size system board designed with Micronics’ new Gemini ASIC system two-chip set: the board offers secondary cache options of 64Kb, 128Kb or 256Kb and has space for 32Mb of expanded memory plus seven 16-bit expansion slots and one 16/32-bit slot; no prices, but Daewoo Telecom Co Ltd has signed an OEM agreement for the boards for use in high-end personal computers, servers and workstations sold by Daewoo Telecom and its subsidiaries worldwide, including its Leading Edge Products.
