MICRON TECHNOLOGY COMMITS TO NEW CHIP PLANT IN IDAHO

Micron Technology Inc, Boise, Idaho has been induced to stay home and site its new memory chip plant near Boise rather than in Oregon. Idaho state promised concessions on labour, taxes and low-cost power to win the firm’s second plant, and the $90m unit is due to open sometime around the end of this year.
