Micron Technology Inc is being extremely cagey about the move, but it told Reuters that its 79%-owned Micron Electronics Inc plans to discontinue the Zeos brand of personal computers that were sold mainly by mail order. It appears that the decision is because the machines, made by Zeos International Ltd of Minneapolis, which it bought last year, ranked as the worst brand overall in a survey reported in the current, March, issue of PC World, but the company has not made it clear whether any of the Zeos operations will be closed, or whether it is simply being reorganized and the name dropped to fix the problem. Nampa, Idaho-based Micron Electronics regarded as one of the leaders in customer service.
