MICRO FOCUS HAS 32-BIT COBOL TOOL KIT FOR OS/2, NT

By CBR Staff Writer

Micro Focus Plc, Newbury, Berkshire has launched the Software Development Kit Program for 32-bit OS/2 and Windows NT. It is designed for creating new production 32-bit Cobol applications and for migrating existing 16-bit applications to a 32-bit environment. The native 32-bit kit includes the Cobol compiler, graphical code debugger, Dialog System v2 run-time, and parts of the Micro Focus Operating System Extensions execution environment, which enables a single application to run across different operating systems without change via a common base of operating system facilities; it costs $2,500 for new users, now.
