The Apple Macintosh retailer Micro Business Centre Group based in Wolverhampton has acquired AppleCentre Liverpool from Computer City Consultants Ltd. This brings the number of AppleCentres under its aegis to three, since it already runs AppleCentre Central in Birmingham and AppleCentre West Midlands in Cannock. AppleCentre Liverpool is situated on Liverpool University’s Campus, and all 10 members of staff will be retained. The group has already been successful in managing AppleCentre Central having set up a printing and graphic design training school there in a UKP1m joint venture with the Department of Graphic Communications & Printing of Birmingham’s Matthew Boulton College. Following this latest acquisition, Micro Business will have an annual turnover of over UKP6m, a tiny part of which is derived from the MS-DOS retail market.
