MetroPCS has launched the Samsung Caliber (SCH-r860), which features 3.2-inch WQVGA, 262K TFT touchscreen with TouchWizinterface.
Samsung said that its mobile’s TouchWiz interface incorporates widgets that allow users to customise and personalise their phone. It will enable users to access social networking applications such as Facebook and MySpace by using the HTML web browser and messaging features that include mobile IM and personal email.
Samsung Caliber measures 2.2 inches x 4.5 inches x 0.47 inches and weighs around 3.74 ounces. It features a 3.0 megapixel camera, built-in video and music player, and will support an optional external microSD up to 16GB.
The SCH-r860 has CDMA 1×800 MHz/1900 MHz, EVDO Rev 0, AWS Band 1700/2100 MHz and incorporates 3.7 Volt Lithium Ion, 1080mAh battery. It supports upto 4.5 hours talk time and supports upto 300 hours of standby time.

In addition, the Caliber also comes with features such as stereo bluetooth wireless technology, voice recognition, MetroNavigator GPS navigation system, Metro 411 Directory Assistance and MetroWEB.
