The flagship product of the San Mateo, California-based software vendor is iSystem Enterprise, a package that is used to identify network conflicts, bottlenecks and connection problems and recommend changes that might help optimize the network system.
The product features the use of so-called System Level Objects, a type of software agent that measures between 300 and 400 data points at the system level, every second on each server being monitored.
The iSystem Enterprise also helps increase overall system performance and availability, the company claims. By analyzing the interdependencies of system resources across LANs and WANs, operating systems and database, the software identifies the most available node within each pool of similar servers at all tiers of the network. MetiLinx claims its customers typically experience 40% performance improvement and see a 25% reduction in the cost of IT support operations.
