Under the agreement, MetaCarta geosearch systems will be integrated into EarthSpector, a web-based geographic information system visualization and analysis tool.
The pairing of these tools will combine flexible and fast-paced mapping from the EarthSpector server and 2D client, and the thoroughness of MetaCarta’s Geographic Search and Referencing Platform (GSRP). As the MetaCarta platform processes geocoding requests, EarthSpector server prepares the information for visualization via EarthSpector 2D, which runs in any web browser. Map data is locally stored on the user’s computer for a faster mapping experience, said MetaCarta.
