By CBR Staff Writer

A survey conducted on behalf of broker James Capel finds that 37% of large UK telecommunications users are already customers of Cable & Wireless Plc’s Mercury Communications unit, and that 34% more are likely or very likely to give Mercury part of their business in the future: the proportion of business given to Mercury by its customers is at present low, with 27% expecting to give Mercury more than 10% within the next 12 months, and 89% expecting to give Mercury 10% within four years, while 25% expect to be giving Mercury 25% by 1991.
