The Prince of Wales’ youth charity, the Prince’s Trust is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year and is kicking off with a UKP1m donation from Mercury Communications Ltd; Mercury is to issue special Trust phonecards from which a percentage of the price will be deducted to meet Mercury’s costs, and when an unspecified threshold is reached the remainder will top up the UKP1m donated to the charity: although its not saying how much from each card is for charity Mercury describes it as significantly more than the average one penny it says is donated by British Telecommmunications Plc on similar schemes.
