MERCURY MAKE AGREEMENT WITH KOKUSAI DENSHIN DENWA

Mercury Communications Ltd has won agreement for direct connection of switched telephone traffic to Japan from next month: the agreement is ironically with Kokusai Denshin Denwa, the international carrier that will soon face fierce competition from International Digital Communications, the consortium in which its parent, Cable & Wireless Plc is leading light and investor.
