MERCURY HAS AGREEMENT TO TAKE STAKE IN WORLD HEALTH NETWORK

Mercury Communications Ltd has a joint agreement with The World Health Network, a medical communications and interactive education company, to take a 90% share in the Health Network; the agreement will enable Mercury to offer health care professionals clinical and management intelligence via a personal computer: the terms of the deal were not disclosed but Mercury says it has agreed to provide the investment, marketing resources and communications infrastructure to assist World Health Network in the delivery of broadcast interactive multimedia services across the UK.
