MERCURY COMMUNICATIONS EMBARKS A FIBRE NETWORK INSTALLATION IN BRISTOL

Mercury Communications is embarking on a UKP3m fibre network installation in Bristol: over 600 miles of fibre will enable businesses to link into Mercury’s figure-of-eight digital network, and represents the group’s biggest provincial cable project to date; the Bristol cable will be installed in three phases, scheduled for completion next spring; Mercury is currently cabling Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham; London has 4,000 miles of the cable.
