MERCKS SIGNS DISTRIBUTOR AGREEMENT WITH TITN, CALIFORNIA

Tokyo software house Mercks Inc has signed an exclusive distributor agreement with the Californian subsidiary of TITN SA of France for marketing of its TwiceProducts network products in Japan: TwiceProducts is a package based on the Open Systems Interconnection model for use in supporting wide and local area networks, mainly for support of workstations, but it can be used for large mainframes and personal computers; Mercks aims to supply Japanese workstation manufacturers on OEM basis and licence prices range from $270,000 to $305,000 – and it hopes to sell five licences in year one.
