MENTOR GRAPHICS TO TAKE ON THE NEW MOTOROLA 68030-BASED 3500 AND 4500 WS

Mentor Graphics Corp says it will take on the new Motorola 68030 based 3500 and 4500 workstations from Apollo Computer as the basis for its latest Idea workstations, with 3500 Series shipments due for the current quarter, and Series 4500 systems available this year with a 25MHz 68030, and processor upgrade to the full speed 33MHz chip in the first quarter of 1989: Mentor claims a user base of over 12,000 Apollo stations worldwide.
