Memorex Telex International NV is claiming solid customer acceptance for its new disk and tape products and says that a wave of enthusiasm is sweeping through the storage side of the company. Following the buyout of the Santa Clara plant to create Sequel Inc, the Unisys OEM Controller Group has been transferred to the Memorex Telex development team, with about 100 Unisys employees joining Memorex, and are working on advanced disk controllers and fault-tolerant disk arrays to be used in future developments of the 3890 design. Their work will complement that done by Memorex’s team in Boulder.
