MegaPath, a provider of managed IP data, voice, and security services in North America, has launched a hosted IP PBX VoIP offering Duet Hosted, which it claims to provide users with a fully hosted VoIP offering that removes all management requirements.
The company claims that the Duet Hosted offers businesses access to the company’s private MPLS VPN network for voice quality and stability. It facilitates cloud-based quality of service prioritisation and built-in security, by routing voice and data traffic over the MPLS VPN network.
According to MegaPath, the new offering includes choice of broadband access, T1 or SDSL; IP telephone feature package such as auto attendant; call forwarding options, simultaneous ring and sequential ring; music on hold and 4-digit dialing plan; and a fully managed offering that includes design, installation and ongoing maintenance.
In addition, Duet Hosted also includes a web-based portal for administrators and users that provides access to their account and training webinar.
Beth Tyebjee, SVP of products and project management at MegaPath, said: “Today, mid-tier and all businesses with a distributed workforce can have all the features and functionality in a hosted environment that enables workers to be completely unified whether they are across the hall, across town or across state lines. As a cloud-based service, Duet Hosted provides the convenience of the Internet without the capital expenditures of investing in onsite infrastructure.”
