The new program will allow providers to check insurance eligibility, identify status of patient deductibles, and authorize credit card payments using the MD On-Line suite of services.
The service is designed to streamline the authorization, billing and collection process. MD says that it enables the provider to determine insurance eligibility, identify how much of the patient’s deductible has already been met, and then charge or reserve funds on a credit card for payment of the portion not covered by insurance.
Bill Bartzak, president and CEO of MD On-Line, commented, The ability to verify eligibility, know what the patient will owe and collect payments upfront will have a major impact on cash flow for all practices utilizing the service and reduce the claims rejected by the insurance companies for ineligibility.
