MCI’S NEW RATES FROM AUGUST 1 TO MATCH AT&T’S CUTS

MCI Communications Corp will be matching the 4.8% reduction in US long-distance telephone rates set by AT&T: the new MCI rates take effect from August 1, and the company says it is able to match the AT&T cuts because they result from lower access charges that will benefit itself just as much as AT&T.
