MCI Communications Corp’s MCI International is living up to its name, says Jerry DiMartino, vice-president of sales and marketing for the company in Rye Brook, New York: now the sixth largest international carrier, according to data from the International Institute of Communication, is experiencing 35% growth in its international services, he says; furthermore, We’re nibbling at the heels of Cable & Wireless Plc, so with the rate of international sales growth we’re experiencing, we may surpass them in the near future; DiMartino cited figures showing that intercountry traffic in the US is growing at 18% a year versus 16% in the rest of the world, while domestic traffic is creeping up at 5% against 7% for the rest of the world.
