The Rye Brook, New York-based MCI International subsidiary of MCI Communications Corp, Washington, is enhancing its pricing structure for international network calls. Plans to restructure its Global Value Plus service including Vnet, Prism I, Prism II, and all WATS tie-line services will affect 150 countries to which MCI offers direct dialling from the US in September. Currently, all international calls are rounded to the next higher full minute but the revised tariffing will price calls on the basis of a 30-second initial period and six-second increments. The enhanced Global Value Plus will also qualify customers for discounts of up to 10% based on their volume of international billing during the standard time period to almost half of MCI’s direct dial countries. MCI network service customers will automatically receive this pricing and there will be no new recurring or non-recurring fixed charges.
