MCDONNELL DOUGLAS TO BECOME MAJOR SUPPLIER TO FSC, DUBLIN

McDonnell Douglas Corp, the US aerospace and computer giant says it plans to become a major supplier to Dublin’s new Financial Services Centre, which it claims will provide stiff competition to established European offshore financial centres such as Luxembourg or Jersey; Jim Maher, general manager for McDonnell in the Republic of Ireland, expects the financial systems market to take on a new dimension following 1992 and believes the company has gained a foothold with a bi-lingual system for Prudential Corporation’s Italian subisidiary.
