MCDONNELL DOUGLAS SIGN CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA

McDonnell Douglas Corp has now signed that $400m contract with Motorola Inc’s Satellite Communications Division to launch most of the satellites needed to form the global wireless Iridium telecommunications network; plans call for the first launch to take place in 1996 with commercial service from 1998.
