The Wireless data division of AT&T Corp’s Kirkland, Washington-based McCaw Cellular Communications Inc has announced the AirData Developers Programme, which will provide training, technical support and product testing services to value added resellers, systems integrators and developers involved in the development of software products for use over the company’s Cellular Digital Packet Data network. The training component includes providing application developers with information on the wireless data market, on Digital Packet Data as a wireless network technology, and on related industry developments. Depending on the partner’s level of programme participation, technical support will be provided through CompuServe, includign an on-line forum, and the Internet; and by means of direct access to McCaw’s System Engineering Department. Finally, McCaw will offer premiere partners assistance in testing their applications on-site at McCaw or at a McCaw-sponsored testing facility. Membership fees to join the AirData Developers programme start at $495 per year.
