MCCAW CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS BUYS 6.13% STAKE IN GRAPHIC SCANNING

Rapacious McCaw Cellular Communications Inc, Kirkland, Washington, has bought a 6.13% stake in Graphic Scanning Corp, Teaneck, New Jersey, and says that while it doesn’t want to take control at this stage, it is seeking a bigger role in the company’s management: its parent, McCaw Communications Cos, is proceeding against Graphic Scanning in Washington court, seeking to have it ordered to complete a transaction under which it allegedly agreed to sell McCaw its 50% stake in a cellular franchise in Milwaukee.
