MCAFEE LAUNCHES BARGAIN UTILITIES SUITE

By CBR Staff Writer

Network Associates Inc’s McAfee Software division has announced McAfee Office, a suite that it bills as the most comprehensive, integrated product on the market for automating desktop utility and internet needs. The package includes VirusScan, Nuts & Bolts 98, First Aid 98, UnInstaller, Guard Dog, PGP Security, Hurricane 98, Oil Change, 2000 ToolBox, and Netopia Virtual Office. It allows the user to access the various tools through a central set of menus from which any function within the product can be launched. Priced at $100, McAfee says the new offering represents a savings of more than 70% from purchasing the products separately. It will ship on September 25 for Windows 95 and 98.
