MaxxVault, a provider of enterprise electronic document management systems (EDMS), and dtSearch, a provider of enterprise and developer text retrieval software, have said that MaxxVault EDMS has chosen to embed dtSearch Engine search functionality to provide instant full-text and fielded data searching covering terabytes of text.

MaxxVault said that its users benefit from a intuitive interface and its application has document processing power, increased with the addition of dtSearch that propels document workflow. In addition, it liberates users from the labour associated with navigating unstructured paper or electronic documents.

The companies said that the dtSearch Engine can index over a terabyte of data in a single index and can create and search an unlimited number of indexes. Its proprietary file format supports highlights hits in popular file types and its built-in Spider supports searching of local and remote, public and secure, dynamic and static web data, with WYSIWYG hit-highlighted displays.

In addition, the dtSearch Engine API supports .NET, Java, C++, SQL including native 64-bit Windows/Linux support. The new MaxxVault Enterprise 4.0 dtSearch was embedded to provide search and retrieval capabilities.
