Maxwell Medical Imaging selects Aspyra for automation

Aspyra, a provider of healthcare IT services, has been selected by Maxwell Medical Imaging, a multi-modality imaging center in Lower Manhattan, New York, to provide its AccessRAD radiology information system/picture archive communication system integrated service

By CBR Staff Writer

According to Aspyra, its AccessRAD radiology information system (RIS)/picture archive communication system (PACS) is designed to meet the needs of acute care hospitals, enterprise-wide delivery networks, and medium to large imaging centers, with end-to-end services that automate processes at every point of patient and imaging encounter workflow.

Neil Mosesson, administrator of Maxwell Medical, said: Maxwell Medical is a patient-centric facility. We selected Aspyra’s RIS/PACS because it will allow us to keep the patient first. With use of this system, our radiologists will have online access to current and prior patient history while viewing new images. This will expedite our report turnaround to referring clinicians and increase the efficiency of our IT systems by implementing an integrated RIS/PACS solution.

Bill Culton, product manager of Aspyra diagnostic solutions, said: Organizations such as Maxwell Medical face demanding timelines, lower reimbursement and fierce competition, while maintaining a high standard quality care. From our appointment scheduling and pre-authorization worklists to management of outside reads and images, AccessRAD will enable Maxwell Medical to improve productivity, view more images and capture the necessary codes to properly bill for exams and services performed, with a single product solution.
