By CBR Staff Writer

Maxtor Corp, Mountain View, California is once again setting the standard in disk drive capacities, this time in the 3.5 market, where it has unveiled 200Mb and 100Mb units with embedded SCSI controllers and sub-30nS access times. The LXT-200S offers twice the capacity of its nearest competitor, the 100Mb drive from Conner Peripherals, and will go for under $900 when you buy 1,000-up; the LXT-100S is under $600 in similar quantities. Evaluation units will be available during August and September, volume in November.
