The Atlas 10K III Ultra320 is a 10,000 RPM SCSI drive offering full implementation of the mandatory and optional Ultra320 SCSI interface features as defined in T10/SPI-4 rev 7 draft standard, including adaptive active filtration (AAF). Maxtor’s AAF technology option improves signal integrity over previous SCSI drives by allowing the drive to adapt to changing system configurations and components. It simultaneously optimizes signal quality to lower error rates and increase bus efficiency and system performance. Offered in 18 GB, 36 GB, and 73 GB capacities, Maxtor’s Atlas 10K III is the ideal choice for enterprise-level applications such as streaming multimedia, high-volume network servers, and RAID configurations. The disk drive has an average seek time of 4.5 ms and industry leading 18 GB/platter density.
