Is 3DO Co’s Interactive Multiplayer going to make it? Matsushita Electric Industrial Co is doing all it can to ensure success, and its latest come-on is a suite of editing software for creating CD-ROM-based electronic magazines that do not require any specialised knowledge of programming. The software has been conceived to integrate the total production process of electronic magazines for the first time. The video magazines developed with the software can be played on the Multiplayer, and Matsushita and its software development group will use it in a joint trial production of titles for the 3DO-designed machine. Prices and marketing targets are not yet decided.
