MATSUSHITA BUYS PS/2 SIMILAR MACHINES FROM TANDY TO SELL IN THE US

Anyone phased by the fact that Matsuhsita Electric is either already or will shortly start, making PS/2 Model 25s and 30s in the US for IBM yet at the same time is buying similar machines OEM from Tandy Corp to sell in the US under the Panasonic brand name, well the company confirms that those are the facts – it says it couldn’t build the machines at the price it is getting them from Tandy – and also may be precluded under its agreement with IBM from marketing anything internally too similar to the Model 30s.
