MatrixOne adds to PLM portfolio

Product lifecycle management vendor MatrixOne Inc has released MatrixOne Library Central, a business process application designed to speed up product development and delivery among its customer base through the reusing of existing knowledge.

By CBR Staff Writer

The application takes information from within a company’s PDM/PLM system and classifies and organizes it to create a knowledge base. As the knowledge base is created from an organization’s specific business environment and products, it is tailored to its needs from the outset but can be adapted when business needs change.

Library Central provides the infrastructure to catalog, find, and manage reusable product content data, and includes an enterprise-wide reuse catalog, a classification taxonomy, standard attribute definitions, parametric search and comparison, facilities for cross-team collaboration, role-based library classifications, usage tracking and reporting, royalty management and contract obligations, and lifecycle subscriptions.
