MASTERNET BUYS TELEMATIC’S NET25 GATEWAY SYSTEM

Telematics International Inc’s X25 packet switches are beginning to make their mark in Japan and the Fort Lauderdale, Florida company’s reseller Rikei Corp has just taken its first order for the NET25 gateway system: customer is a personal computer communications services company called Masternet, which is a subsidiary of Meiji Milk; the $725,000 NET25 system combines packet switching, protocol conversion, and network management and costs about $725,000, Masternet will use it for transmission control in a new service that it plans to start this month; Rikei is looking to sell 20 of the NET25 gateways in the first year of marketing.
