The Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation complained to Masterfoods about the advertisement which showed two mechanics accidentally kissing while eating the same candy bar and then pulling out a lock of chest hair to display a manly act.

The company’s website also featured images of Super Bowl teams reenacting the kissing scene. In response to this, the campaign group claimed the jeering from professional sports figures at the sight of the two men kissing would only fuel anti-gay bullying.

Following the complaint, Masterfoods vowed to remove the ad from its website and stop running the commercial on TV.
