Mass Microsystems Inc of Sunnyvale, California has added six products to its family of storage systems and peripherals for the Macintosh including a fax modem and a QuickTime component for its QuickImage 24 video capture card: the storage products include DiamondDrive Internal hard drives for Macintosh II and Quadra computers, and DataPak Internal removable cartridge drives for the Quadra 900; the DiamondDrives consist of four internal hard drives with storage capacities of 120Mb, 210Mb, 320Mb and 510Mb; the DataPak cartridge drives are available for the Macintosh Quadra 900 in both 45Mb or 88Mb storage capacities; other products include DiamondDrive Portables, a line of 1 and 2 high drives available in 80Mb, 120Mb, 210Mb, 320Mb and 510Mb capacities; the DataPak MO/128, a 3.5 magneto-optical drive offers 128Mb storage on a 3.5 rewritable optical disk cartridge; also included in Mass Microsystems Macworld Expo lineup is HitchHiker, a line of pocket-size hard drives which began shipping in December; the drives weigh less than 10oz and are available in 40Mb and 80Mb capacities; the Massfm 24/96 is a personal fax modem powered through the serial port of a Macintosh.
