Mass Microsystems Inc, headquarterd in Sunnyvale, California has an-nounced a joint marketing programme with Canon Europa NV to promote the use of still video on the Apple Computer Inc Macintosh; the two companies will provide still video imaging on the Macintosh II family, and the joint marketing program will focus on the use of the Canon Still Video system and Mass Microsystems’ QuickImage 24 Video Frame Grabber card; Canon’s system includes the ION RC-260 Still Video Camera, ION FA-C26 Film Adaptor, RV-321 SV Player, and the RE-552E Visualizer; the ION-260 camera, RV-321 SV Player, or RE-552E Visualiser can be directly connected to the QuickImage 24 card for importing images; Mass Microsystems’ QuickImage 24 card captures 24-bit colour and 8-bit greyscale images from either composite or S-Video sources, and supports both PAL and NTSC video standards on a single card.
