MARTIN MARIETTA WINS CONTRACT FOR THE US SDI PROJECT

Martin Marietta Corp has won the $508m contract to build the national test-bed computer facility for computer simulation of the US Department of Defense Strategic Defense Initiative: the centre will be built at the Falcon Air Force Station in Colorado, with links to other research bases around the US; the Rockville, Maryland firm beat Rockwell International to the pact.
