Marriott has chosen Motorola’s PowerBroadband system, which has recently been deployed in over 15,000 Marriott-branded guestrooms in hotels including the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA, the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC, and the Orlando World Center Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

A feature of the mT2a PowerBroadband system is the m2 Wallplate, which directly snaps on over existing telephone wall plates found in hotel guestrooms. No additional wiring or rewiring is required. All power and broadband modules are contained within the small Wallplate, eliminating the requirement for separate broadband modems and power supplies.

Lou Paladeau, vice president of operations technology at Marriott, said: We are excited about the success we saw with the deployment of Motorola’s mT2a system into two of the largest Marriott branded hotels in the Washington, DC area and the 2000-room Orlando World Center.
