ManTech International Corp has acquired Seel Ltd, a Scottish imaging and data capture firm that supplies banks and commercial industries. It is Fairfax, Virginia-based ManTech’s second UK acquisition this year. Its first was data and information processing firm Advanced Recognition Ltd. ManTech now sells ARL’s Captor capture, recognition and correction software alongside its own ProForm advanced recognition software in Europe for applications that include image archive and retrieval, bar coding and remittance processing and recognition from forms, checks and vouchers. Seel will add technical strength to its operations, the company said. ManTech intends to launch Captor in the US early next year. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
