Manpower Software has acquired Baum Hart & Partners, a supplier of integrated software systems, consultancy, training and support services.
Founded in 1990, Baum Hart claims to provide its services to 200 clients in the health, education, local government and the emergency services sectors. Its products and services include consultancy, training and staffing support, accountancy packages, bespoke software development, and Microsoft-based products.
Baum Hart has the London NHS Trust, Lambeth PCT, and Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust on its list of customers. It claims to offer its research costing software pFact to 31 universities in the UK.
Baum Hart is Manpower’s second acquisition in 2008 after Key IT Systems, a provider of software for the management of float and temporary staff in the NHS. The acquisition of Key IT has enabled Manpower to offer an integrated e-rostering and bank software to its customers.
Manpower offers its workforce optimisation software, MAPS, and electronic rostering services to its customers spread across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. NHS is one of the company’s key customers. It has won 10 NHS Trust contracts for its MAPS software in the first quarter of 2008-09, compared to 23 for the entire fiscal 2007-08.
Manpower expects to extend its relationship with NHS as well as enter new verticals such as education, with the acquisition of Baum Hart.
Chris Lee, managing partner at Baum Hart, said: The strategic fit of Manpower Software and Baum Hart & Partners is excellent for customers and staff. Manpower Software has significant resources to invest in the customer base and products of Baum Hart & Partners. Lee will now become a part of the senior management team at Manpower.
